Honda HS928 Snowblower
Equipped with an easy-starting OHV
commercial grade Honda GX270 engine that delivers nine horsepower and
hydrostatic drive, the Honda HS 928 snowblower comes in four models: HS928WA,
HS928WAS, HS928TA, and HS928TAS. All models have a 2.1 continuous operating
time, a 49.2 foot maximum snow throwing distance, a clearing width of 28",
and a clearing height 20".
The HS928 snowblower is ideal for those needing a heavy duty, dependable piece
of equipment for all of their snow and ice clearing needs. Even in the coldest
weather, the GX270 engine offers power and dependability, allowing you to clear
up to 50 tons per hour. The speed control hydrostatic drivetrain allows operators
to choose their speed according to the snow conditions. The HS928 is also
equipped with reversible two position skid shoes that give twice the life from
one set and can be changed according to snow conditions. Adding convenience to
the mix, are easy accessible control levers as well as heavy-duty, serrated
augers to cut through the toughest ice.
Even though Honda power equipment is well-known for its durability and superior
performance, there will come a time when you will have to replace a part on
your HS928 snowblower due to normal wear and tear. Locating the correct part
for your machine quickly is imperative during winter, when unexpected snowfall
can occur at any time.
Types of Parts
There are two types of parts to choose from – original equipment manufacturer
(OEM) and aftermarket. Researching the difference between OEM Parts and aftermarket
parts is important, in order to make an informed decision as to which type is
better.
OEM parts
are more expensive than aftermarket parts; however, they are higher quality
because they are built according to the exact specifications of your equipment.
They are durable and compatible with the snowblower that they are produced for.
Aftermarket parts, on the other hand, are cheaper in both price and quality. Lower
quality for a lower price.
Order Preparation
To ensure that the part being ordered is compatible with a specific Honda
Snowblower, the model and serial number is required. This information is easy
to locate, as it is visibly labeled directly on the equipment.
The model number indicates important specifications. The “HS” simply stands for
“Honda Snowblower”. The snowblower’s 9 horsepower is indicated by the “9”. Its
28 inch clearing width is indicated by the “28”. Track drive is indicated by
the “T". Wheel drive is indicated by the “W”. American market production
is indicated by the “A”, and electric start is indicated by the “S”. Different
versions of each model are indicated by the frame serial number, which is found
on the lower handle bar on the back of the snowblower. For further assistance,
consult the owner’s manual.
